Consciousness is the key

I believe the key to the mystery of life is to be found in truly understanding consciousness, or thinking. Thinking or comprehending is something that we all do all the time. But, it is also something that nobody really knows anything about. At its most base level, thinking or consciousness is really just the human being's way of experiencing reality. The only reality that man will ever know is that one which is produced inside of his mind. Reality and consciousness is how man knows the world. Consciousness or thinking can be thought of as a way in which man's environment presents itself to man.

Somewhere in the development of man he developed a brain that performed this vital function for him. We can think of the brain as man's most useful tool for survival. If man did not possess a brain he could not figure out anything at all. He would simply perish without the ability of some device which allowed him to live and to survive. The brain is that thing. It is the part of man's physical make-up that allows man to identify with himself and those things that surround him.

Man lives on a physical earth in a physical universe. He is connected in his solar system to the very thing that gives him life, namely the Sun. He knows just how important this thing is and that is why he has created gods to worship this thing as well. In fact, much of man's religious history is based on this great ball of fire. And, that includes the religion of Christianity and many of its forebearers. All of these religions knew how important the Sun was for the continued existence of life on earth as we know it. When the Sun goes out then we all die.

The Sun, therefore, is key I believe to understanding man and his consciousness. And, I would have to say that, logically, they are the same thing. It can be no other way. Think about it. And, I am asking you to think about the word think. Because to think is to be conscious, conscious of what you are doing at this moment in time. You are feeling your reality; you are in touch with your environment and it is affecting you, in many ways, and at all times. That is what an environment does. And, what a brain does is to let you know how you feel about all of the things that an environment is doing to you. And, so it must be with the Sun as well. And, just what do I mean by that you might enquire?

A Sun is a finite thing just like the earth and all of the creatures that live upon earth. By finite I mean that one day its existence will come to an end as we know it to be right now. One day a Sun will burn up all of its energy and it will, simply, die. There will be no more light and heat. And, the things that the Sun caused will be no more. Man as we know him to be on earth, will die. That is how important the Sun is for the existence of man. So, we might say therefore, that man is really part of the Sun. For he could not have come into existence without this thing. In a way then, the Sun is man's creator and not God as we know Him to be. Once again, that is why the religions of man worship this thing that we have come to call - the Sun.

Given the above, we need to believe that the Sun has the ability to think, just like man does. Why is this so you may ask? Because it is logical that it is so. It can be no other way. If man is a thinking creature then so must his creator be as well. The Sun is man's creator and it is a physical mass such as man. It is composed of heat and energy in the highest forms, and it gives off bright light. And, man is a physical creature composed of materials such as found on the sun, and is filled with heat and with gases and chemicals. All of these come together to form the consciousness of man. So, consciousness is just really the many interconnected parts of man, and thinking is the chemical reaction of this meeting. It is the byproduct of what a human being does during the course of his existence. There is no other way to understand this thing that we call thought than in the way that I have presented it to you.

And, if the Sun is the beginning of all of the things that we have to know then it must be doing a lot of thinking on its own accord as well. That great ball of fire that we see in the sky is the result of all of the goings on inside of the Sun. The heat and the light is the result of the 'living' thing that we know as the Sun. It is the consciousness of the thing and is its thought. We know therefore how the Sun thinks since we are mere children of that thing. I believe this to be the key to life and of its understanding. The Sun shines and we know what it says. It tells us that it is a living thing such as its children are, which is you and I. And, that is what I mean when I say that consciousness is the key - it is the key to understanding.
