Act Four: Scene One

.

Setting: The Great Banquet Hall in Heaven

( standing outside the hall )

.

Characters: Ida and Matt

.

Ida and Matt are standing outside the Great Banquet Hall..
Ida has just given her presentation and needs time to think about things and wants to discuss the recent events with Matt.

.

Ida buttoning up her coat and tightening her scarf begins to speak. She looks up into the sky..

.
Ida: "
Isn’t it a beautiful night honey? "
.

Matt is gazing into space while Ida is talking...

.
Matt: " It sure is sweety. Wow, just look at those stars way out there. Eternity and one beautiful galaxy after another. And, we are right smack in the middle of everything.. Makes you feel kind of special now doesn’t it?... .Kind of chilly though. "

He buttons up his coat.
.
Ida:
" You can say that again. That’s why I brought my scarf honey I know what it is like here. .......Honey? "
.
Matt:
" What Babe? "
.
Ida:
" Do you truly love me, I mean deeply and madly, like I do you? "
.
Matt:
" Of course I do Babe, you know better than that. That's a dumb question. "
.
Ida:
" Would you still love me if I did something ...which was ..well, maybe . I mean, if I said something, and maybe lied a little bit or did something slightly dishonest, would that bother you? "
.
Matt:
" I’m not sure what you’re driving at honey. "
.
Ida:
" Well, you know what I did tonight don’t you? "
.

They are facing one another and quit looking into the skies

.
Matt:
" Sure, you turned Arthur Schopenhauer’s life around, made him feel like a million bucks, and you made Katy fall in love with Carl. That is what you did isn’t it honey? "
.
Ida:
" Well, yes and no.."
.
Matt:
" Im not sure I understand Babe. "
.
Ida:
" Well, I didn’t really do what I said I did. I guess that is what I want to say. "
.
Matt:
" You mean, Mr. Schopenhauer didn’t really experience what he experienced and Katy did not fall in love with Carl. Is that what you mean? "
.
Ida:
" Yes, I think that is what I mean. "
.
Matt:
" So, explain yourself. What did you do? "
.
Ida:
" Before I do that, I want to tell you why I did what I did Matt...OK? "
.
Matt. " Sure,
Babe, fire away. "
.

Ida:
" Matt. I just wanted to prove to Jehovah that I am better than Him that’s all. That my ideas are better than his, that’s what. That is basically why I did what I did. I wanted to prove to Him that there is a better philosophy than His out there. He thinks He is so perfect because He created Earth and humans and everything. We had a big discussion tonight Matt and I just told Him that He was wrong and that I was right and that is why I introduced Arthur Schopenhauer and how he had come to see the light, so to speak. He experienced a different kind of love because I gave him the idea of something different. And, listening to music is what helped him experience what he did. "
.
Matt:
" Well, that is what you did isn’t it Babe. I mean, you made him sense something different, something he never felt before? "
.
Ida:
" Not quite. "
.
Matt:
" I'm not following you Babe. "
.
Ida:
" Babe, I didn’t really do what I said I was going to do. Because it is just impossible to do it with humans, that's why. Because of Jehovah and what he did. That is the reason I did not really do what I said I did. "
.
Matt.
" I am still not getting it. "
.
Ida:
" Well, when Jehovah created Earth that means that He planted His ideas all over earth and inside humans. And, you cannot really get rid of these ideas once he has implanted them. Think of it this way Babe. Man is an emotional creature. He is emotional because he is made of matter. That is why he feels the emotions of hate and love. These things are really just physiological reactions; they need matter before they can materialize. And, that is the way JEHOVAH designed man. Don’t ask me why He did it, just understand that is the way the human animal works. Now, contrast this with you and me Babe. Our relationship is different. I am a pure idea and I have put my thoughts into you. All of us ideas are constantly on the search for matter so that we can bond with them. Idea and matter actually used to be one big piece or whole you know. That is the Oneness that I was talking about Matt. But, it doesn’t work with humans and I think JEHOVAH knows that. But, I just wanted to prove to him that my ideas were stronger than His and that I could change human behavior.. So that is why I did what I did. Do you understand Babe? "
.
Matt:
" Of course Babe I follow you. So, you are saying that Mr. Schopenhauer did not really experience real love. He just thought he did? "
.
Ida:
" That’s right Babe. His love is lust, just like most human love. It is an emotion. And emotion like I told you is a function of the bodily reaction to things. So, when I embraced Arthur, well, he just felt good that is all. My perfume made him think of beautiful things, and the young woman that was in his mind made him think of beauty...I just gave him the idea that is all....Anyway, Jehovah created lust just so that he could control his creations better. And, He created sin too. He made all man imperfect just so that He could save them. And, if they followed his orders then they could live forever too. That is the nature of His relation with man. "
.
Matt:
" I see. So, He could have, if he wanted to , I mean, not created any of this stuff. Like not even infecting man, if infecting is the right word, with these kinds of ideas..right? "
.
Ida:
" Well, sort of. The point is that He created life, as the human being knows it to be. And, JEHOVAH’s ideas abut life are different than mine. I just would have created life in an alternative form that is all. I would have avoided anything that caused emotions and conflict for man. My creatures would experience love because that is what the whole universe is all about. You don’t know what physical love is Matt because you have never experienced it. You just love me for me and nothing else. When I met you and bonded with you I passed everything on to you. But, I made sure that you would not experience physical love. Because if I told you about that and gave you the ability to experience physical sex then that would be the end of our relationship. Love, when we are making love it is a different kind of love than human love. I know you don’t really understand Babe, but what I am saying is that I cannot make humans something they are not. I cannot make Arthur Schopenhauer know the kind of love that I know and I cannot make Katy fall in love with Carl if she is not interested. But, I can place an idea in her mind and make her think that she is in love with Carl in a brand new way. And, the only way that I can accomplish that is by controlling her mind. "
.
Matt:
" This is insane Babe. So, what did you really do then? There must have been some underlying reason for the whole thing, but, just a second. What about the Nuns, you know those Catholics that marry Jesus Christ? You cannot tell me that they are in lust with Jesus.. I mean, they are not experiencing any kind of physical love. The kind you are talking about I mean. They truly believe in ideal love. Love of humanity and the good of humanity and that kind of thing. So, what abut the Nuns Babe. What is the deal with nuns? "
.
Ida:
" It is still just an emotional response honey. It is a physiological reaction. You are right in pointing out the marriage aspects of the whole thing. That is fine. But, who came up with the idea of devotees being married to the Savior? It is still a man woman relationship. And, you cannot omit the rationale for why Jehovah wanted man and woman to come together. And, that is to procreate. But, more to the point honey, Nuns are still acting out of self interest; they are engaged in a one-sided relationship. And, that is the message of Jehovah, in one form or another you will find self interest at the base of any relationship, whatever it is. Jehovah is interested in survival and eternity and that is his method of business. But, you wanted to know about me and Jehovah then listen closely....
.
....
Well, I never told you this before Matt, but JEHOVAH and me are brother and sister.
.
Matt:
" You mean, this whole thing is just sibling rivalry then? "

Ida starting to cry.

.
Ida: " Yes. Babe and I think I might have ruined Katy and Carl's lives too. Please forgive me honey. I didn’t mean them any harm. "

.

Matt, taking a moment to contemplate

.
Matt:
" Well, Katy thinks she is in love with Carl now right?
.
Ida still crying.

.
Ida: " Hold me Babe. Please hold me. "

.
Matt wraps her in his arms to console her.
.
Matt:
" I think I am starting to understand Babe. It is all sort of making sense now. About Katy. So, you basically just planted a thought in her brain ....... right? "
.
Ida:
" That’s right Babe nothing more. Like hypnosis that’s all. She thinks its real. And, Carl, well, he is in love with Katy anyway. So all I had to do was to make Katy fall in love with Carl, using the idea of them being compatible and believing in the same idea of love. And, I picked Katy because I thought JEHOVAH would be impressed. He knows that Katy does not love Carl. So, now that He sees that she is in love with Carl He thinks that I have great powers. And, that is what I wanted to accomplish. Just be better than Him. Do you understand Babe? I know that you think I am perfect and want to do good, and that is why I want you to understand why I did what I did. "
.
Matt:
" Sure babe I understand why you did it. . .Stop crying it’s all right. You just wanted to show Jehovah a better way that's all. And, that is a good thing honey. .... So. What about Katy and Carl. I mean what will happen to them. Will they ever know the difference?"
.
Ida: " No B
abe it is as good as permanent. The hypnosis is very long lasting and she will never know, or even have to know. They could be happily married until the day they die. "
.
Matt:
" Ok Babe I understand. That seems harmless enough. If they are both happy then who is the worse for wear anyway? Relax honey things will work out. "
.
Ida:
" You still love me then? "
.
Matt: " Of course I do. There is no reason to continue to be upset. Honey, I am the God of Matter. It is my job to understand; to acquire meaning is what I live for. And, that is your job too Babe to help me fulfill my destiny.
... Remember our vows honey? For better or for worse? "
.
Ida:
" I sure do Babe. "
.
Matt:
" Yeah, it might be worse but it is going to get better. "
.
Ida: " I love you Babe. "

.
Matt:
" No worries honey. "
.
Ida:
" I'm still worried honey. Worried about what JEHOVAH would do if He found out. "
.
Matt:
" He doesn’t have to Babe. "
.
Ida:
" He is going to do something Babe. I know He is. I know what He is like. He thinks He is all-knowing and all-powerful. You didn’t notice Him tapping his fingers earlier on. When He does that He is upset and He can get very violent when He is upset. "
.
Matt:
" Well, He cannot be all knowing if you pulled this one over His eyes and He cannot be perfect if your ideas are better than His either. And, we will deal with the power as it is presented to us... It’s ok honey, lets go back inside where it is a little warmer. The wedding should be getting under way shortly anyway. "
.
They go back inside the hall.

The Marriage of Carl Baydala

Part Six
.

.

.
A Marriage made in Heaven
.
and sanctioned by the gods

..

.
.

.

Act Three: Scene Two

.
Setting: Saturday night in Juneau, Alaska
.
A hotel room in Juneau
.
Characters: Carl Baydala, Bert ( His Best Man )
.
.
Carl and his friend and Best Man, Bert are sitting in Carl's hotel room getting ready for the wedding. Carl is seated in a recliner, feet extended, and holding a beer in his left hand. Bert is sitting on a stool facing him.
.
Bert looking directly at Carl: " So, how do you feel Carl? "
.
Carl: " I feel fantastic man, this is the greatest day of my life let me tell you. "
.
Bert: " Yeah, how many years was it anyway? I mean, you must have asked Katy to get married a million times and she kept turning you down. I wonder what changed her mind, and so suddenly too. "
.
Carl: " Well, the story I got from her is that it just happened. She didn't give me all of the details, saying it was sort of secret and that kind of thing. So, I didn't push the issue. I mean, I was just happy that she finally accepted one of my offers. And, she phoned me out of the blue too. "
.
Bert: " Wow! "
.
Carl: " Yes, that is my sentiments exactly. We really do have a lot in common you know, it just took her a little while to figure things out that is all. I think our most common thing though is our idealism. Now, I don't mean idealism in the religious sense, but rather, in the sense of holding something in high regard, you know like some kind of an idea even in the sense of striving to achieve something. Or, maybe even being in an ideal position, that kind of thing. I don't really think she is in to that heavy idealism of the philosophers, but then again, she could be. Who knows how women think anyway? "
.
Bert: " I think you have something there all right. They are a strange breed sometimes. Who cares what the reason is for changing their mind. Just be thankful they change it in you favour. I think that is the big thing. "
.
Carl: " Well, of course that is an obvious thing. But, you know there are differences between us as well. And, I am just wondering if that is the real reason for her changing her mind so suddenly like she did. Like, sometimes opposites attract you know. Maybe there is something in my character that she needs for her own needs. I am only searching for clues Bert so don't take me too seriously."
.
Bert: " I wouldn't think of it. "
.
Carl: " I don't think it would be the differences though. That doesn't really make sense. Why invite conflict, I mean? I'm thinking it is the love connection Bert. Maybe she is at that point in her life now where she realizes that two people coming together can achieve a lot. You know, two heads are better than one and that kind of thing. "
.
Bert: " Like a pooling of resources you mean? "
.
Carl: " Of course. But, maybe something else too. I was doing some reading lately you know, about philosophy things and I learned some things about how people can be more happy. Like you know how I think Katy is the perfect woman? Well, that is an idea you know and it had to come from somewhere. Maybe from just out of my head or from somewhere else. Who knows from where. But, I consider her to be a perfect woman, and obviously the best choice for me. How come? Well, just think about it. I hope you don't mind me answering my own question by the way. Well, anyway, when I am driving around in my car and the music is blaring away, well what do you think I think of? Right. The answer is Katy. Now, I could have been thinking of a whole pile of great things, but my mind always goes back to Kat, and her perfection. It is the music that is setting me free and taking me somewhere else. Maybe to a place called idea land or something. Who knows anyway..are you following me Bert? "
.
Bert: " Sure, I know what you mean.
.
Carl: " But, just to extend things a bit though, maybe there is some kind of female - male connection involved here as well, but incorporating the same idea as before of course, if you follow what I mean..and this is just a theory of course so don't hold it against me. I mean, come on Bert. Who decided to create man and woman anyway? What is the purpose of the whole thing? You know, when you think about Creation, or even just the business of coming into existence from whatever source and for whatever reason, it is an amazing idea. The odds of me being alive are just astounding. I mean, I shouldn't even be, but I am. I was born at a certain time and at a certain place. I was brought up somehow and learned things that others did not learn. I have my very own personality. I am a very special person with a very special background. And, so is everybody else, and that includes Katy. So, what brought me and Katy together in the first place?
Is it just dumb luck, or is it fate. Well, what is it?
.
Bert: " You know what your basic problem is Carl..you think too much. Now, here is a woman saying that she is willing to marry you and you have to sit down and analyze the whole thing. There is nothing to figure out Carl. She wants to marry you. So, isn't that enough for you..are you trying to control her or something...if not..then why are you spending so much time on trying to figure things out? Remember, Katy is a doer and you are a thinker. Now that is pretty risky business in some circles, so thank your lucky stars or gods or whatever it is that made this happen. "
.
Carl: " Interesting point...and how come you know so much Bert? "
.
Bert: " 'Cause I am married that's why. Yeah, just let things go and go with the flow. She has found something that she likes in you and that is all a guy ever needs to know. She has found something to make the connection work for HER, so I suggest you concentrate on that feature and nothing else. So, just be in love and be happy. Period.
.
Carl: " Nice philosophy "

The Marriage of Carl Baydala - Part 5

. The Marriage of Carl Baydala
.

Part Five

.
.

..
.

. A Marriage made in Heaven
.
and sanctioned by the gods .

. Act Three: Scene One.

Setting: Saturday night in Juneau, Alaska

Katy's Bedroom .

Characters: Katy, Elana .

Katy is in her bedroom getting ready to be married and her Bridesmaid, Elana is helping her prepare for the big event. They are sitting on Katy's bed next to each other. Katy begins to cry.

.
Elana: " Don't cry Katy everything will be all right. "
.
Katy: " I have to cry Elana, I am just so happy. I never knew getting married would be like this. And, it just happened, so suddenly, like a lighting bolt. Who wouldn't be shedding tears at a time like this? "
.
Elana: " I don't really know how you feel Katy, but I would sure be happy if I was getting married. I mean, look at me. Nobody would even give me a second look for goodness sake. "
.
Katy: " Don't talk like that Elana you are a very pretty girl, any man would love to have you as his wife. "
.
Elana: " You are just being kind Katy, I know how you are. That is why you are getting married and I am not. You are like a goddess Katy. Well, that is what Carl says about you anyway. "
.
Katy: " Oh, don't be silly Elana. I am not a goddess at all. Carl is just crazy about me that's all. There is nothing goddess like about me at all."
.
Elana: " When did you decide to marry Carl Katy? I mean, he asked you so many times and you kept refusing, so why now, what happened? "
.
Katy: " Can you keep a secret Elana? "

.
Elana: " Of course I can, you know better than that. "
.
Katy wiping her eyes continue to talk
.
" Well, I know this may sound really stupid, but it happened in a dream. Believe it or not, just a stupid dream. It was like a fairy visited me or something. "
.
Elana: " What, are you serious. a fairy? "
.
Katy: " Yeah, just like in the movies. I was having a dream and this lady, her name was Ida, that is what she said. And, she told me many things that I did not know before, things that I had never thought about. "
.
Elana: " What kind of things Katy? "
.

Katy: " Well, just things, you know. Things that girls tell other girls, except in this case it is in a dream and it is a fairy or a goddess telling you things. I remember now. She was a goddess. She told me that she was the Goddess of Ideas and that her name was Ida. Yeah, that is what it was. She was wearing this long scarf and she was very beautiful indeed. I remember she had gold earings on too. I could tell she was a goddess she was just so perfect. Now I am starting to remember more.... I remember she sat down right next to me, put her arm around me and just started talking and explaining things to me. She was telling me all about real love and happiness and what it all means, all kinds of stuff like that. She also told me that I was special, so special in fact that only another special kind of person should marry me...someone like Carl. That is what she told me. "
.

Elana: " Wow, wish that could have been me. then what happened?

.
Katy: " Well, she started to tell me how important ideas were and that I ought to be happy all of the time and that is what gods lived for, to be happy. And, then she said that everyone should be happy and not sad. And, then she started to sing a song right into my ear. "

.
Elana: " What was the song Katy?
.

Katy: " Oh I can't recall the exact name or anything like that, but it was beautiful sounding and it made me think of space and eternity and that kind of stuff. I felt like I was in Heaven and I was the happiest person in the whole wide world. And, then she made me think of Carl and a vision of him appeared in my mind. And, then Ida hugged me and I felt like I was going to die I was just so happy. "
.

Elana: " And then what happened? "
.

Katy: " Well, another vision appeared. It was a wedding scene and the music was just like the song that Ida was singing. It was a beautiful happy wedding scene. and then you know what happened? "
.

Elana: " No what? "
.
Katy: " Well, after she showed me that wedding scene she made me wake up and turn on my computer and she led me directly to this wedding video on the Internet. I guess I was still dreaming, but I am not exactly sure about that part of it... would you like to see it? "
.

Elana: " Of course, are you crazy? "

'
Katy gets off the bed and sits down at her computer table She turns on her computer and plays the wedding song.

Elana gets up off the bed and sits beside Katy on another chair. The video begins to play.
.

.

Elana: " Holy smoke. that is absolutely awesome. Lucky you. "
.
Katy: " I know. " she starts crying again
.
Elana: " don't do that Katy don't cry please. "
.
Katy: " I'm sorry Elana I cant help myself. Elana, do you remember a few minutes ago, when you were in the other room....did you hear that rumbling sound coming from down below? "
.
Elana: " Yeah, I guess I did. it was kind of freaky in a way. You Know, I completely forgot about that since I was thinking about you and your wedding so much. "
.
Katy: " Yeah, me too. I wonder what it was. I was really eerie, just creepy. "
.
Elana: " It did not last very long so that it is the good part I suppose. "
.
Katy: " Yes, you are right. I guess we should not worry about things like that on this special day. "
.
Elana: " Katy, I am glad you are getting married in that place you know, the one you picked out.
.
Katy: " Yup, and it is just a small hall not too far away from here. They do these small weddings. Carl and I didn't want it in a church anyway. Neither one of us is really religious you know, so why bother with a big church wedding and showing off and all that. "
.
Elana: " Yes, I think you're right. Just a small place seems so cozy and warm. A good place to get married, I think. I think that is what I will do when I get married too.
.
Katy: " Does Biff still phone you Elana? "
.
Elana: " No, I haven't heard from him in a while. I wish he would phone though. "
.
Katy: " Oh I am sure he will phone one day..just keep hoping that is all one can do you know..one day it will happen...look what happened to me and how long it took. "
.
Elana: " I suppose you are right Katy...you are also right about so many things. No wonder Carl absolutely adores you.
.
Katy: " Yes, he loves me there is no question about it. He is very sincere you know. And, that is what Ida said too. He is for real.
.
Elana: " So who is going to do the wedding again?
.
Katy: " Oh some magistrate or justice of the peace or something like that. Some official person anyway. Might even be a female somebody said. It will all be legal and proper of course. Jut no religion that is all. But, it is the same thing really . It is a union. a solemn coming together and that is what Carl and I are interested in. "
.
Elana: " Sounds good Katy. How are you feeling now? "
.
Katy: " Much better. " she wipes her eyes
.
Elana picks up a mirror and holds it in front of Katy.
.
Elana: " Take a look Katy. the most beautiful bride in the whole state of Alaska. "
.
Katy laughed.

The Marriage of Carl Baydala
.
.
Part Four
.
.
.
.
.
A Marriage made in Heaven
and sanctioned by the gods
.
.
Act Two: Scene Three
.
.
" Movin at the speed of light into eternity '
.
.
Setting: The Great Banquet Hall
.
.
Characters: Master of Ceremonies, Goddess Ida
.
.
The time has arrived for Ida to make her speech in front of the large gathering in The Great Banquet Hall in Heaven. Large viewing screens have been rolled into the Hall and placed in strategic positions throughout. The Master of Ceremonies is making his way to the podium at the front of the Hall and is about to introduce the Goddess Ida. He grabs the microphone that was attached to a pedestal and begins to talk.
.
Master of Ceremonies ( MC ): " Ladies and gentlemen. Can I have your attention please. "
.
He waits until the noise in the cavernous room settles down.
.
MC: " Thank you. Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen thank you. "
.
He waits again for the noise to die down. Much laughter and shouting is heard throughout. Someone is whistling in the back of the room. He continues and decides to out wait the crowd. Finally, after a couple more minutes he has the attention of the audience.
.
MC: " Ladies and Gentlemen I want to thank you all for coming out tonight in this rather chilly weather. I am glad that everyone arrived safe and sound. And, I hope that you are all enjoying yourselves.
.
A wave of laughter and clapping is heard.
.
MC: " Terrific. Ladies and Gentlemen it is with the greatest of pleasure that I introduce the main speaker tonight. I am talking about the Goddess Ida of course. " Clapping is heard throughout once again. " As most of you are undoubtedly aware this gathering is the result of her work and of her innovative ideas. She had a goal in mind and she achieved that goal." Another round of applause. " Ladies and gentlemen what we are going to witness tonight will be something of historical importance, so let me be clear about that. Goddess Ida is a goddess of ideas. Now, I am sure I do not have to spell out the details for you as to what that implies. But, then, maybe I will anyway, for the uninitiated that is." Some laughter. " Friends, a Goddess of ideas is what gives meaning to our existence here in Heaven. I am sure all of you who have had occasion to think about that notion would agree with my assessment. A Goddess of ideas is like our anchor. Where would we be without her? How would we communicate with each other without ideas? We would be aimlessly wandering about in space with not a care in the world and nothing to think about and nothing to live for. " Laughter is heard throughout. " I know that many of you know Goddess Ida personally and may even had a discussion or two with her. I know that I have and I am much the better for it. But, let me clear about something else. This gathering tonight is not just about Goddess Ida. It is also about something that we all care about. And, friends I am talking about our future, and in fact, eternity itself. And, how can we secure our future you might enquire? Well, let me answer that for you. Now, I don't want to intrude, on possibly, some of Goddess Ida's turf here, and spoil all of the fun, but we need to know why we are here. Friends, we are about to view and be part of a wedding taking place on the planet Earth tonight. What is Earth you say? Well, planet Earth is the creation of the Lord God Jehovah who is seated right over there. "
.
He points in the direction of Jehovah and Jehovah is beaming with joy at his recognition. " Stand up and take a bow Jehovah." Jehovah stands up and there is a polite applause throughout the room. " Thank you Jehovah you may sit down. " And, Jehovah sits down. " Now, to continue on, what we are going to see tonight is a wedding, a union of two mortal souls who have found each other. They will be getting married and we will all be the witnesses to that event. This wedding was arranged by Goddess Ida herself. She personally took an interest in the two people involved, namely Katy and Carl. And, what she did is a truly amazing thing. She planted an idea into the mind of a girl and made her fall in love. Think on that for a moment friends and recall in your past lives when you were in love with someone and they did not return that love. How did you feel? Well, I know how I felt when it happened to me. And, it was not a pleasant feeling at all. I think most people know what I am talking about here, especially the Earth people of course. So, I do not want to dwell on this point to much. Friends, gods and goddesses and ideas are truly marvelous things let me tell you. Now, there is a lot more to this story than just love as well as you will soon find out. As I said friends I do not want to spoil all of the fun and excitement for you. Instead, I think I will let the Goddess herself give you the details on her success. "
.
He points in the direction of the Goddess Ida and beckons her to come to the front of the Hall. Ida walks to the front of the room with her companion fairy in tow. More whistling and clapping is heard. She reaches her destination and the Master of Ceremonies passes her the microphone. She waits for the clapping and noise to die down.
.
Ida: " Well, thank you Master of Ceremonies for that masterful introduction. I am thrilled and honored to be here tonight with all of you. " Applause heard throughout . " And, thank you for not spilling all of the beans as well. " laughter. " Now, I too want to thank everyone for coming out and venturing into the cold night air. But, then that is the way it seems to be around here most of the time anyway. " More applause. " Friends, tonight a wedding will take place, and not too long from now either. Katy and Carl who you have now heard about will be tying the knot and getting married. Now, this is a very curious relationship let me tell you. This wedding might not have happened at all, but it is going to let me assure you. If you allow me, I want to provide you with some background on this very important wedding. As you know friends I am the Goddess of Ideas, so my job is to get those ideas out there and into the market place so to speak. And, my marketplace is the whole universe as you all know, and not just that place called Earth. Now, Jehovah as you just learned was responsible for creating this place. He used the matter available to Him and he went about the business of Creation. And, He created a very special place indeed. His ideas, strategy, and philosophy if you will, was to represent Himself to the people of that planet as its Saviour. Since He created it He would take possession of it; of its peoples and of their minds if you will. He and His Son Jesus created a religion and imparted ideas about morality and the like. Now, if the people obeyed Him and the Laws that He enacted then they would be able to come here in Heaven and be with us for an eternity. But, He also made life a bit difficult for the people on Earth as well. Now, I am not going to into all of the details of Jehovah's plans and you can talk to Him about these on your own good time of course. But, what I will say is this: I believe that Jehovah is only offering one world view to the men and women of Earth. I am suggesting that there might be another way to conduct our business with the other inhabitants of our universe.
.
Friends, the goal of each and everyone of us should be that of happiness. You all know the difference between being happy and being sad don't you? " laughter is heard throughout the room. " Well, if you do friends then might I humbly suggest to you that you might of had an incomplete upbringing?. Why do you even need to know that sadness exists if you do not have to? If sadness did not exist then you would not have to experience it. But, yet. that is what Jehovah did for the people on Earth. He introduced the notion of unhappiness and of all of the things that cause it to happen. Friends, if I had my way I would want everyone to be happy all of the time; all of the days and nights, if you have days and nights, that is. " laughter. There is no reason to experience pain and suffering. It is totally unnecessary. Now, I know that these negative things would not occur if matter did not exist, but it does. Just as my husband the God of Matter exists. And, my husband and I are now one entity so to speak. Anyway, I don't want to talk about personal things at this time. " laughter is heard. " But, I digress of course. Now, without sounding too overly critical I would just say that Jehovah got into trouble with his project on Earth. He simply introduced too many and unmanageable things for man to deal with and he used matter improperly, in my opinion. So, his fate and destiny would be suffering, and eventually, mortal death.
.
Friends, there is something on Earth called physical love. This thing, to describe it briefly for you, is a desire to bring the sexes together for pure sexual enjoyment. Some of you will have no idea what I am talking about of course and that is fine. But, sex on Earth is certainly a big hit let me tell you. If you are from Earth then you already know what I am talking about and I know that there are many in our audience tonight who originally came from the planet Earth. In our audience tonight ladies and gentlemen is a gentleman called Arthur Schopenhauer. He is a noted philosopher and former resident of Earth. Arthur fell victim to this thing called physical desire. Stand up and take a bow Arthur. "
.
Arthur Schopenhauer stands up and applause is heard throughout the room. He sits down.
.
"Thank you Arthur. Now, Arthur's main problem was that he was not able to have the right ideas in his mind concerning the problems that he was faced with. He had no real defence to physical love when it struck him, and that is of course related to Jehovah's Earth's plans. "
.
Lord God Jehovah began tappping his fingers upon the table.
.
" But, I think you will find that Arthur is now a new man and that is the result of a recent conversation that I had with him and that took place this very evening in this room. Friends, what was missing from Arthur's life was the ideas to get him through his problems. He needed new ideas and a new philosophy. Now, Jehovah in dealing with his Earth project simply made things impossible for man to survive and overcome his daily difficulties."
.
Jehovah is whispering in Jesus' ear.
.
" He also knew that man would run into trouble as well and that is why He created a religion for man. Man could sin and do many wrongs, but God promised to forgive and to save man. So, that was man's escape route and salvation if you will. But, my point is friends that none of this has to happen at all. You just need a new viewpoint in life; man needs new ideas and that is what I offered Mr. Schopenhauer tonight and that is what I offered Katy as well. But, there is a bit more to this friends, so let me explain myself. Now, we are fortunate that Katy and Carl are good subjects with which to work. They are both receptive to ideas and they both believe in goodness and happiness. They have in fact already been introduced to these concepts as a function of living on Earth. Jehovah gave them these things, as did others as well of course. The point is that they were introduced to these ideas already, ideas that would help them to cope with life on Earth and Beyond. And, as you can see friends there is indeed a Beyond and you and I are experiencing it right now. To be happy though, people, simply need to know about the idea of the One and what it means. Jehovah's philosophy does not teach that to us. Inside of every human being is the capacity to experience ' Oneness '. And that is the state of true happiness. What is the vehicle to achieve the Oneness that I am talking about? Well, music is most likely one of the best routes imaginable. We have been playing music all night long here and everyone is enjoying it I am sure. Well, music soothes the soul and allows the Intellect to connect with the powerful ideas that we are looking for. Now it is my job as Goddess of Ideas to introduce these things in the first place and that is what I did with Katy. I visited her in the middle of the night through a dream. I told her everything that she needed to know about being happy and, I even told her who to marry as well. And, that was Carl. Why Carl you ask? Because Carl is the person who is in love with her to begin with. He already considers Katy as a goddess of beauty or as his perfect woman. So, all I had to do was to tell Katy that her perfect soul mate was available and waiting to be married. It was just that simple. I needed to introduce song into the psyche of Katy and to get her to think about the important ideas that I wanted her to think about. Love and Beauty and Happiness are some of these theme's. She also needs to know that the person that she is marrying understands and appreciates her for what she is. And, Carl is already there and he is the one. And, there is one more important consideration as well. It is related to selfishness, but it is also related to well being and doing the right thing for yourself. Katy needs to know that she is marrying the right personality for herself and what she wants to get out of life. With her new spiritual ideas intact she can now find that perfect partner.
.
Who is that person who will best allow her to achieve her goals of happiness? Who is that most compatible person who knows and understand the things that she desires? The answer is of course Carl Baydala.
In my encounter with Katy I told her who her perfect partner would be and why. I told her that Carl knows her and is in love with her, and more importantly knows her needs. He would also like to live forever as well in eternity. And, so does Katy. I told Katy that she could experience eternity and happiness on Earth with Carl - and Beyond as well. So, that is how I got Katy and Carl together. "
.
A huge round of applause is heard throughout the room.
.
" So, friends, I now want to direct your attention to any of the large screens that have been set up for you viewing pleasure. Now, as I said this is the exact video that I had Katy view. I played the song in her mind in a dream and then I woke her up and led her to her computer table where she found this song again. She played it over and over again and I could tell that she knew what it meant. She was going to get married and that person would be Carl Baydala. She sensed that her fate was now being played out for her right in front of her eyes.. So, lets turn the lights down and have a look see..."

Act Two: Scene Two

.
Setting: The Great Banquet Hall
.
.
Characters: Ida, Matt, Lord God Jehovah.
.
.
Ida and Matt are approaching the table of the Lord God Jehovah. Seated at this huge table are all of the gods and goddesses of Greek and Roman heritage. There is much laughter at the table. Jehovah and Jesus are seated at the end of the table, but at the moment of the arrival of Ida and Matt, Jehovah is not engaged in conversation and appears to be contemplating things on His own. Jehovah's large German shepherd dog is lying on the ground beside him to His right. His tongue is hanging out and he is panting. His feet are stretched out and he looks directly at the Goddess Ida as she approaches.
.
Ida in a low voice to Matt: " Honey, I want to talk to Jehovah, can you find something to do for a bit? "
.
Matt: " Sure honey. I understand. "
.
Matt and his fairy helper move away from the table. Ida moves closer to Jehovah. Jehovah acknowledges the presence of Ida.
.
Lord God Jehovah ( LGJ ) raising his voice: " Ida. So nice to see you again. Looks like you have really outdone yourself this time with this large gathering.
.
Ida, moving in the direction of Jehovah extends her hand to shake his hand.
.
Ida: " Nice to see you too Jehovah. "
.
Lord God Jehovah does not extend his hand to Ida's but instead emits a boisterous laugh.
.
LGJ: " You are charming indeed Ida. Have a seat beside me here so that we can talk awhile. "
.
Ida sits herself down beside Jehovah. While she is seating herself her Chelsea is making sure that her fine silk dress is positioned neatly over her seat and making sure that it will not wrinkle. The fairy steps back and stands behind Ida. Ida is not in the least unsettled by Jehovah's refusal to shake her hand.
.
Ida: " I trust Jehovah that you are aware of my reasons for the gathering. "
.
LGJ: " Of course Ida and I commend you on your efforts. I have been following the lives of Katy and Carl myself. In fact, I have taken a great interest in them. They are interesting characters indeed. ... But, I see you have beaten me to the punch again. "
.
Ida: " Not at all Jehovah. This is no contest or duel that we are engaged in here, as relates to Katy and Carl, I mean. I think they belong together and when I give my speech later I think you will come to agree with me. I am sure you are in accordance with the union and that it is the right thing to do..under the circumstances, I mean."
.
LGJ: " Yes, indeed, I have no quarrel with your efforts; it is an apparent solid union of two like-minded people, but of independent types as well. An intriguing and difficult match I think, but if you have made them as one then more power to you." He laughs and begins to squirm about in his seat. " You have done well for yourself Ida. "
.
Ida: " I can see that we are on the same page then..with this marriage I mean. It is good that you do not object. I know that you have your ways of expressing your disfavour when things are not going your way. I understand these things Jehovah and I appreciate that as a man and as a god that you will do things in your own way and in your own time. But, I also know that you are capable of doing the right thing as well. "
.
LGJ sensing some sarcasm in the tone of Ida's voice: " Thank you for your understanding in these things Ida. You are a most perceptive women. And, did I tell you how wonderful you look tonight? The gold earings are delightful. Very functional indeed. " He laughed again.
.
Ida: " No you did not, but thank you anyway. "
.
LGJ: " You are most welcome Ida. You know, I was just thinking. We are both idealists Ida and I am wondering if this presents some kind of a problem for the both us..what do you think..given our differences in the past, I mean? "
.
Ida: " Well, since we are both idealists that means that we are both aware of the numerous ideas available, to us both, I mean. That is our gain and our potential source of conflict as well, as you say. Now, you being a man of ideas have undoubtedly formed your own philosophy and you would like to conduct events in the manner that you see fit. I cannot quarrel with that notion at all. You decided to create earth and inhabit the place with man. Again, no problem. But, if I may offer some criticism here it would concern the way you executed the whole thing. Frankly, Jehovah I don't think earth was one of your successes..."
.
Lord God Jehovah laughing heartily: " Goddess I know that you are only joking of course. Earth is one of my greatest successes in fact. Where else can you find matter and idea in so much conflict? That is the point of the whole thing. Surely, as a women of philosophy and of ideas you can capture that thought? "
.
Ida: " Well, frankly Jehovah I never really did think of it on that level..as a success I mean, based on conflict. I know of all ideas of course, but I would not categorize earth as a successful idea at all. That is a novel idea indeed, however, this business of conflict, I mean. But, I would suggest that most of this is just your personality at work and not much more than that. And, fitting of course for a person with ideas. Perhaps the idea of conflict is a product of your personality and not much more. I commend you on your strategy of bringing man and woman together in marriage, and of creating man in the first place. This is a fine clue for man and helps us in our understanding of things. . it might even help us understand the workings of the universe itself. I just think, though, that most people in my position, those who bother to think about the issue of course, would tend to criticize earth and the way it is turning out. Your ideas about conflict are having very unintended consequences indeed Jehovah. For to invoke the notion of conflict and to allow humans to figure the whole thing out without help is somewhat beyond my idea..of a good idea.."
.
LGJ: " Surely you jest Ida. Give credit where credit is due at least. I am aware of your philosophy you know, I understand this business of the ' One ' as everyone does who bothers to think about the matter. And, I know that this is where your bread and butter lies, so to speak. We all need to do something and believe in something as well; we are all philosophers in one degree or another. Take a look at my earth and what do you see? You see the wonder of creation that is what you see..and a whole lot more as well. Can you not see the magic in my design Ida...are you that blind that you cannot see?..I am using matter in the same way that you would envisage it to be used. It is a looking glass and training ground for man. You and I need to plant ideas into man; that creature born of matter. Without us he would be nothing. Where do you think man got his consciousness from? I know that you agree and understand these things as I do. An idea is meaningless Ida if it cannot be put into practice. And, that is what I attempted to do with earth as well. It is all there Ida just take a look. I have invented evil and lust and greed and all the rest. What more do you want than that?... And, I gave man a ticket out the turmoil as well. Yes, belief in me Ida. That is my idea. And, you say why do I not control these things and make man happier and all the rest?...well, that would foolish Ida. How could man learn if I was to change the rules in midstream...what would I accomplish by doing that? If I created man in an ideal world without sin and pain and suffering then what would I have done? The answer Ida is that I would have harmed man in the process...He could not learn Ida...I would be cheating man...out of his destiny."
.
Ida: " You make me laugh Jehovah. Destiny. You talk of the destiny of man? Did you not listen to Arthur Schopenhauer and what he had to say about destiny? That is a frightful thought Jehovah. I think perhaps that what you might have done is simply created a make work project for youself or some sort of self love scheme to boost your ego a bit. Certainly these kinds of notions could be read into your design by any objective observer with anything resembling a brain. ... But, I digress of course. I see some logic in your speech Jehovah and it makes sense on a certain level. However, I would critique your earth on at least two other levels. The first being the use of conflict itself. Maybe if you created a perfect world then you would not have to introduce conflict to try and figure it out and to fix it; or more aptly, correct your mistakes. Perhaps we are merely dealing with crisis management here Jehovah. What do you think of that? My second criticism of your philosophy is based your idea that you are the person who can exact these changes. Think about it Jehovah. I am not saying that I am better than this or that person or god or idea or anything else, but I saying that I understand the system in its entirety. And, when I understand something in its fullness then that allows me to contemplate just what this system needs for its very survival. By your actions you are saying that you are greater than idea or matter itself. Can you confidently do that Jehovah and can you legitimately offer earth as evidence of one of your successes?
.
LGJ: " Absolutely Ida. I use matter in the same way that you do. Your very husband is the God of Matter, or a god of matter. And, what does that mean? It means that you would use matter as you would any kind of matter, and that is to your advantage. Does your husband understand these things Ida, or does he even bother to care or think about these things? Is he a mere toy boy of yours perhaps? Well, similarly with myself. I have used matter to craft the earth. Yes, even selfishly I have done so. But, in my selfishness I am aiding mankind and in fact all of eternity. Can you say the same thing as regards the use of you husband Ida? "
.
Ida: " Well, I don't you think you have ever seen me afraid of conversation Jehovah and the places where it might lead you. Of course I am selfish, as selfish as any god or other thing, where and when required, that is. But, are there not even different aspects to selfishness itself? Are there not good and bad aspects of selfishness? You say that you want to help mankind find itself and if using selfishness is part of the bargain so be it. All tools are at our disposal when it comes to the future of eternity. But, herein lies our basic difference Jehovah...Take the instance of the marriage of Katy and Carl and tell me exactly what you see. Tell me now what you see..if you dare..."
.
LGJ: " Well, they are going to get married in a Christian Church are they not. Isn't that enough of a beginning for you and a sampling of my work?"
.
Ida: " And, what other choices do they have? What does the venue matter Jehovah, it is the fact that they are getting married that is important. Do you count the number of people who get married in churches and then simply place another notch on your pistol? Is that how you view these marriages Jehovah? Jehovah, people get married in churches all of the time, but what does it mean? The marriage is being sanctified by you in the name of God. But, how many people getting married in churches actually live by this idea? Think about it Jehovah. What do you really think they are thinking about when they are standing there together in contemplation?
.
LGJ: " I respect your views Ida, but I stand firm on my ideas. My world and my ideas are in fact working. And, marriage and marriage in churches is testimony to my successes. "
.
Ida: " Think about what you have done and are doing. You are a mere idea such as myself. We are both gods but what rights does that infer when we are dealing with a universe and with eternity? We both understand the complexities of the universe and of its needs. We both know the use and reason for matter. You do not have to create a haven for conflict to get results. There are other methods besides the dialectic. Maybe the dialectic is just more proof of your mistakes Jehovah; that the opposing forces allowed this method to develop. Just simply portray the truth and offer man the best ideas, without pain and suffering and all the rest. That is what I am trying to do with my philosophy. Don't make man struggle for no purpose at all, except personal satisfaction and glory. That is vanity Jehovah and both You and I can do better than that.
.
...Jehovah you have stepped out of your boundaries with your philosophy; you are not respecting the integrity of the whole or the One. Can you not see that? You are making a whole people believe in You for the sake of believing in You. What does man gain from simply believing in You? That is your objective. And, my goals are contrary to yours; that is our difference. Man gains nothing from the simple believing in You. You are restricting man with your philosophy and you are hurting him. By your philosophy you create attitudes in him and this affects his personality as well. If he is believing in You as a path to salvation and eternal life then what are you teaching him? He is not supposed to believe in other gods and other ideas, only the idea of You. Is that fair to man? Sure, you taught him Goodness and even Beauty, but did you have to expose him to evil and to sin all at the same time and confound the issue for him, and to make him pay for his sins? You are leaving out the most important ingredient of all Jehovah. You are denying reality with your methods; You are denying it to Yourself and to Your creations as well. You are denying the existence of matter and idea working together to produce a result in a manner that is free of any extra and unnecessary baggage. Jehovah, you are demanding man to be obedient when he is not required to be. You are imposing Your will on man in a most selfish way. Reality Jehovah is knowing that happiness is possible and you cannot attain that reality without gaining access to happiness. And, happinesss comes out of union, unfetterred. Jehovah, a marriage is a metaphor for happiness; a union of two people coming together so that both may benefit. A marriage under your guidance is not pure Jehovah and You know that. So, what you call destiny I call an injustice.
.
I trust Jehovah that you will respect this marriage for what it is and let it be. For your sake, for mine and for all eternity. I hope that you appreciate the significance of this wedding made in Heaven on this Day. "
.
Jehovah did not respond to Ida and her speech. He simply looked at her with a steady glance and then rubbed his face with his hands. He glanced down towards the other end of the table. He wanted no more of this conversation. He got up and moved closer to where Jesus and the rest were sitting. His dog followed Him eagerly as did His companion fairy.
.
Matt and his fairy approach the table where Ida was sitting. Ida was sitting alone. She started to cry and her companion fairy Chelsea moved closer to comfort her and offered her a napkin to dry her eyes with. But, she did not touch the Goddess.

Matt: " You are upset Honey. what did Jehovah say to you to make you feel so? "
.
Ida steadily regained her composure and started to rise from the table and chair that she was seated upon. Chelsea aided her making sure that her dress was kept in perfect order.
.
Ida: " It's nothing honey. Nothing really. I am going to have to make my presentation soon honey will you help me get ready?"
.
.
Matt: " Of course babe anything you say. "
.
.
To be continued...
